Accredited Exercise Physiologist

It was always an ambition of Karina's to follow a career in the medical health science profession, particularly in the field of sport and exercise. Karina graduated her Bachelor degree in Biomedical Science in 2012 before going on to complete a Bachelor degree in Exercise Science, graduating in 2014. Following her undergraduate studies, Karina went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Exercise Science leading to my accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist.
Throughout her career Karina has gained valuable experience in the clinical health and hospital environments. This has reinforced and strengthened her passion as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to work closely and collaboratively with patients to achieve their health goals.
Karina has a special interest in helping people undergoing and recovering from cancer treatment, those managing chronic conditions (musculoskeletal, metabolic, and cardiovascular) those with neurological pathologies and also people with prosthesis.
Outside of work, Karina is a keen sports fan; who particularly enjoys basketball and AFL. Karina loves to keep active by going on hiking adventures with family, friends and of course her dogs Maggie and Roxy.

 

 

 


RAPHAEL WINN

Remedial Massage Therapist

Raphael is an experienced Remedial Massage Therapist with 6 years of practical application of the skills he learned at college. Raph has also undertaken further study and provides cupping services also. As a triathlete himself Raph has a keen interest in sports injuries and improving sports performance. He is known as a skilled deep tissue massage therapist but is also able to moderate techniques used for non-sports people.

Raph has travelled overseas with the Australian ‘Budget Forklift’ professional cycling team as the team remedial/sports massage therapist. Raph has a keen interest in cycling and competes regularly in local and regional triathlons . In September 2014 Raph competed in the Standard Distance Age Group World Championships in Canada placing in the top 50 of a 200 plus field.

Raph undergoes regular ongoing training to ensure his skills remain at the highest level to provide the best service and results for all his patients.
