A Running Assessment conducted by Physiotherapist Lochie Higgins is the ideal way to get expert guidance on your next steps for return to running or improving performance.
This assessment is tailored for:
- Individuals planning a return-to-run program;
- Runners dealing with recurrent niggles or past injuries;
- Current runners who want to improve performance and take training to the next level.
What does the running assessment involve?
Subjective Review: of your running history, past sports involvement, and any previous injuries or niggles. Past running injury is the biggest predictor of future injuries, so this is important! We discuss running goals and use the XYZ planning process to map out objectives and the stepping stones needed to achieve them.
Practical Assessment: to evaluate where you currently sit on the Return to Running Pyramid of Force Production, Power Capacity and Progressive Overload.
