At the Joint Physiotherapy and Allied Health we have always strived to improve our patients beyond just getting out of pain, but to thrive in their lives and achieve their physical goals. This mission is delivered through our dedicated Strength and Conditioning service and access to our fully equipped performance centre and gym.

Our Strength and Conditioning and Athletic Rehabilitation services are led by Steve Collins. Steve is one of only a handful of Physiotherapists nationally who have achieved the status of Titled Professional Strength and Conditioning Coach, Level 2, through the Nationally Registered Professional S&C body, the ASCA.

Steve has the experience and qualifications needed to put together training plans for professional and national level athletes. This alongside his clinical skills means that we are able to help you achieve your athletic related goals no matter where you are on the rehab to performance continuum.

Pain to performance

This includes post operative care and longer term rehabilitation plans that take you from day 1 with an initial 45-60 minute assessment through to clearance to perform at or above your previous level.

Our Pain to Performance service puts the athlete at the centre of the journey and is suggested for athletes recovering from injury, surgery or long standing pain conditions impacting performance.

What to expect:

Evidence based testing using specific criteria and return to play plan that is updated after each session
Consultation with your acute care team
Consultation with your performance team
Periodised rehabilitation and performance programs
Running and contact progressions as appropriate
Weekly or fortnightly 1 on 1 rehabilitation and testing consults
Access to rehabilitation class

This service is for the professional, semi professional athlete or weekend warrior looking to maximise their performance and stay injury free as they achieve their sporting goals. Steve specialises in racquet, combat, field, track and strength sports.

Periodised rehabilitation plan that adapts to you and your daily challenges
Weekly performance tracking and analysis
We offer both face-to-face and online consultations
Weekly or fortnightly 1 on 1 consults
